Newark and Sherwood Concert Band is going from strength to strength and on Tuesday, 31 March, we invited the Newark Advertiser, our local paper (www.newarkadvertiser.co.uk) to come along and see for themselves what we're all about.
Lucy Millard (firstname.lastname@example.org) was joined by a photographer and has produced a fantastic article that can be found on page 22 of the edition of the paper published on the 9 April 2015!
Newark and Sherwood Concert Band is delighted to announce that following of a kind offer by Jonathan Pass at Kelham Hall and Country Park, we will shortly be moving from our current home at Newark Railway Club to The Dome at Kelham Hall.
Colum O’Shea, the band’s Musical Director commented, “This is a tremendous opportunity to be based at possibly the finest building in Nottinghamshire. Jonathan’s support for the band will help in so many ways and we are extremely grateful to him for this.”
As part of the move, the band will be undertaking concerts from time to time at Kelham Hall & Country Park. The first of these is on Friday 15 May 2015 and appropriately is entitled "New Beginnings".
